Happy Halloween 2013!

This year we were the Wizard of Oz for Halloween. Tricia made some AWESOME costumes and we had a great time. Elizabeth spent the evening alternating between “roaring” and being shy. It was too adorable. Abby couldn’t wait to get outside and give out candy. She spent more time handing it out than she did collecting it.

 

Gran and Grandpa Wessler came over to man the house while we went out walking and, true to form, Abby only stayed out for about half an hour. She was so concerned when we ran out of candy that she filled our “hand out candy” bucket with her “I just collected this” candy and then turned the porch light back on. We told her that wasn’t necessary…mainly because Daddy wanted all that chocolate!!!

 

She made the cutest Dorothy and Elizabeth was the least-scary Lion.

 

All in all…it was a good night

Gran was singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider to keep Ellie happy and the Bean clapped at the end of the song letting Gran know she did a good job.
A rare moment of quiet cuteness. Oh, they’re all cute, don’t get me wrong…they just aren’t all quiet!!
Elizabeth spent a lot of time taking the hat OFF! We had to get her used to having it on so the whole costume thing would make sense!
Here we are – the Scarecrow, Lion, Tin Man, and Dorothy. (I forgot to paint my nose! It’s always something when you’re running around trying to get ready). Happy Halloween!!!

  3. Tricia, you are not only beautiful and talented, but you are also amazing in the great job you did with the costumes! and Jacob, the pictures are, as usual, the very, very best, however the children are so beautiful it makes for a winner every time!
