October 31st was a fun and festive day for the Wessler…I mean SMURF family this year!
Abby had a Halloween party at her school in the morning. It included a parade around the main school building to show off all the preschoolers’ costumes and a yummy feast in their classroom afterwards. Parents brought all kinds of treats and crafts for the kids to enjoy and I’ve included a bunch of pictures of the impressive spread!
After school I took Abby over to my office to show off our costumes to my colleagues, who got a real kick out of seeing us!
Of course the afternoon was topped off with a quick dinner at our house and a strong effort on Abby’s behalf to knock on just about every door that had a porch light on in our neighborhood. Thanks to Gran and Grandpa for coming over to help us celebrate the haunted holiday, and for manning the candy box while we hit the streets as the Smurf family!
