Camp Periwinkle

Hey there all you Camp Periwinkle supporters and fans! It’s that time of the year again! Jacob is in TX at his annual camp for kids with cancer, and from the sounds of it, is having a blast as usual. He is again serving as the head counselor of the oldest boys’ cabin, Zeus, and says he has a great group of boys this year.

If you want to follow along with him this week, you can go to http://www.campperiwinkle.org and see photos of each day taken by the professional photographers.

A funny story he sent me this morning about a skit he was in on Sunday night: “I was doing the little meekrat dance from Madagascar to the song ‘I Like to Move It.’ They decided to play the ENTIRE song for me instead of just 20 seconds like they did for everyone else’s song (all the counselors were “listening to music” on their ride up to periwinkle. The songs were supposed to be not at all like the counselor, except for me. I got the crazy song). ANYWAY – everyone was on stage for about 20 seconds – I was up there for a minute and a half. They thought it would be funny to leave me out there and see what happened. Good times.”

See if you can find the one of him doing his dance in the photos from Sunday. Enjoy!
