If only Patches #3 would have hung out in our “butterfly paradise” backyard for a few days before flying off…his/her girlfriend/boyfriend just hatched today! Jacob and I released him/her a few minutes ago so hopefully they find their mate and come back!

UPDATE!!! #5 HATCHED LAST WEEK! ONLY ONE LEFT…still no eggs on our fennel though. 🙁 “Come back butterflies…fly home!”
Aren’t you guys the little butterfly ranchers! A word of caution from one who is suffering now. Trim back the fennel before it goes to seed. I have fennel coming up ALL OVER MY GARDEN! It’s everywhere! I can’t pull the little ones out out fast enough! It goes and goes and goes! WATCH OUT!!!
