9 months ago Abigail submitted one of her original drawings to her favorite magazine, Highlights. She reads it monthly (thanks to Mimi for the subscription) and took interest in the “Your Own Pages” section where readers submit their own creative work for consideration for publication. She received a very nice letter, not long after, thanking her for the submission but making no promises about whether it would be chosen for publication in the future.
A few days ago she was reading the March 2016 Highlights magazine over breakfast and declared victory when she saw her very own “Staicy Shamrock” drawing prominently printed in its pages! Now, she’s a published artist!
They graciously sent us two extra copies a few days later to have as keepsakes. So exciting!
